Somehow I missed it when this dropped, and I’ve been too busy to get around to letting you all know. Anyway, the Clipse single I’ve been talking about forever leaked last week, complete with Kanye verse and all.
Beat’s pretty crazy, and what you’re listening to might not even be fully mastered. It’s good to hear Kanye rhyming again, but I’ve got to say that lyrically I expected more than this from the Clipse. Maybe the Cam’ron collabo will do it for me.

I’ve been listening to that Kid Cudi mixtape a lot recently. I’m not wild about “Day and Night,” but I really dig some of his other songs (“Man on the Moon (The Anthem)“, “The Prayer“, “Is There Any Love“). He’s not breaking any new ground lyrically, but the guy can sing better than Kanye and has that same sort of charm.
Lots of pretty colors in these videos, which is eminently pleasing to your favorite blogger’s child-like intellect.
Kanye apparently thinks so. Fortunately, Kanye isn’t one to be known for hyperbole. No release date yet, but allegedly all but three or four songs are done.
Doubters be damned, I’m putting all my faith in this album…
I’m thinking of doing a most anticipated albums of 2009 list soon, so keep an eye out.
